If you have questions, always consult with an advisor from the Education Department. The New York Teacher Education Certification requirements, as well as, transferability of courses to 4 year colleges, change frequently. The best advice is to seek advice!

- Choose your content core concentration in consultation with your Education Advisor
- Education students are “Double Majors”
- Students must choose a subject concentration at all levels of certification (ex. math, science, English, etc.)
- Start your 4 year college search within your 1st semester at MCC
- Choose a school that best suits your professional goals (see Education dept. for career advisement)
- Levels of Teacher Certification
